As I've never really considered myself a photographer in the usual sense, I've never been bothered by the label. I don't say it aloud, but I think of myself more as an 'image maker.' And, mind you, that's a wide-open term. To that end, I occasionally enjoy dabbling with older images I've found or have access to and 'adding' to them. And, in some cases, rearranging elements within an image. Sometimes, it borders on a form of collage. Here are a few examples. A number of the basic images were gathered from shorpy.com. Sometimes I add an element to them from my own images. Sometimes from other old images. Often, the result makes me smile. And, being honest with myself, that's really what motivates me to bother (some of these things take quite a lot of time).
